As a key member of the executive leadership team, the EVP of Brand & Mission Advancement provides strategic leadership across:

This leader partners closely with the President & CEO, Board of Directors, and senior leaders to advance the YMCA's 2030 ONE MISSION ONE VISION Strategic Plan, driving philanthropic revenue, enhancing visibility, and positioning the YMCA as a trusted community leader.
The EVP leads a team of 10 professionals across marketing and resource development, with four direct reports, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead Brand & Marketing Strategy
  • Serve as chief steward of the YMCA brand, ensuring consistency, clarity, and impact across all channels
  • Drive data-informed, multi-channel marketing strategies that increase membership, program participation, and community awareness

Drive Fundraising & Philanthropy
  • Lead a comprehensive advancement strategy, including annual, capital, major gifts, grants, and planned giving
  • Oversee an annual fundraising goal exceeding $2M and hold a key leadership role in a $50M capital campaign
  • Build a strong culture of philanthropy engaging staff, volunteers, and board members

Shape Strategic Communications
  • Lead internal and external communications strategy that amplifies impact and inspires action
  • Serve as a key organizational spokesperson and manage media relationships
  • Oversee storytelling, campaigns, and publications that position the YMCA as an indispensable community partner

Strengthen Community Partnerships & Influence
  • Build and sustain strategic relationships with civic, corporate, and government partners

Lead Signature Events & Engagement
  • Oversee high-impact fundraising and community events that elevate the brand and deepen donor engagement

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree, Master's preferred
  • 10+ years of progressive executive leadership experience in fundraising, marketing, communications, or advancement
  • Proven success leading major gifts, campaigns, and comprehensive fundraising strategies
  • Strong background in branding, digital marketing, and multi-channel communications
  • Experience building and leading high-performing teams
  • Demonstrated ability to engage board members, donors, and community stakeholders
  • Strong business acumen and data-driven decision-making skills
  • Experience with CRM systems and performance analytics
  • Passion for the YMCA mission and values

Preferred:
  • CFRE or similar fundraising credential
  • Experience in a multi-site nonprofit
