Job description Events Manager Are you a hospitality professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a passion for creating exceptional member experiences? Racine Country Club is seeking an experienced Events Manager to join our team. This leadership role is primarily responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing club-sponsored events and member programming while also serving as backup support for private events, banquets, and other special functions as needed.

The ideal candidate will be highly organized, service-driven, detail-oriented, and experienced in managing multiple events simultaneously while delivering exceptional hospitality and fostering strong member engagement. Responsibilities Lead and oversee the planning and execution of club-sponsored events, member activities, holiday events, social gatherings, and special club programming. Develop creative event concepts and experiences that enhance member satisfaction and engagement.

Coordinate all event logistics including room setup, décor, entertainment, audiovisual needs, rentals, timelines, and vendor management. Serve as a primary liaison between club departments to ensure smooth coordination and execution of all club events. Assist with planning and execution of banquets, corporate outings, and private functions as backup support for the events team.

Prepare and manage banquet event orders (BEOs), room diagrams, timelines, and detailed event documentation. Conduct event walkthroughs and planning meetings with members, clients, and internal departments. Partner closely with culinary, service, housekeeping, golf, and management teams to ensure seamless event execution.

Lead pre-shift meetings, communicate event expectations, and oversee banquet and service staff during functions. Maintain visibility during events to ensure service standards are upheld and guest concerns are addressed promptly and professionally. Assist with staffing coordination and scheduling for banquet operations and club events.

Monitor event billing, internal budgets, deposits, invoicing, and final payments as applicable. Maintain weekly event calendars and communicate function updates to all affected departments. Manage member and guest concerns with professionalism and effective problem-solving.

Support ongoing development of club programming, event operations, service standards, and member experiences. Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned by Club leadership. Qualifications Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in hospitality event management, banquet management, private club operations, or related leadership roles.

Experience planning and executing member-focused events, social functions, and hospitality programming preferred. Proven ability to manage multiple events and priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and direct event staff.

Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking abilities. Professional, polished, and service-oriented demeanor. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to remain calm under pressure.

Experience with banquet event orders (BEOs), event timelines, and event billing procedures preferred. Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on club and event schedules. Experience working with Canva is a plus.

Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time. Ability to bend, squat, and lift up to 30 pounds as needed. Ability to actively work events in a hands-on environment.
