Location: Forest Glen Health Campus

At Forest Glen Health Campus, we believe every day should bring joy, purpose, and meaningful connection to our residents. We are seeking a compassionate, energetic, and creative Activities Assistant to join our team and help enrich the lives of the seniors we serve.

Position Summary

As an Activities Assistant, you will assist in planning and leading engaging recreational, social, and therapeutic activities for residents in our skilled nursing and long-term care community. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with older adults and has a passion for creating meaningful experiences that enhance residents’ quality of life.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with organizing and conducting daily activities, including games, crafts, music, exercise, and special events

  • Encourage resident participation and provide one-on-one support as needed

  • Help decorate for holidays and themed events

  • Transport residents safely to and from activities

  • Document attendance and participation

  • Support community outings and special events

  • Build meaningful relationships with residents and their families

  • Maintain activity supplies and keep activity areas organized

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED preferred

  • Experience working with seniors, in healthcare, or in recreation is a plus, but not required

  • Friendly, patient, and dependable

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
