Job description

Special Events Coordinator

The Special Events Coordinator at URS is responsible for sponsorship solicitation, in-kind gift procurement, donor stewardship, and event database management in support of the Development Department. This role will also plan, coordinate, and execute all URS fundraising and community special events to achieve revenue goals and advance the organization’s mission.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Marketing, Communications, or closely related field, or three years’ equivalent experience is required. Excellent oral, written, electronic, and interpersonal communication skills are a must, with a demonstrated ability to work with people and cultivate funding sources. Effective organizational, time management, and self-accountability skills required. Strong computer skills are required; familiarity with job-related software preferred. Must have the ability to work a flexible schedule as the situation dictates (i.e. weekends, evenings, extended hours). Must maintain a valid Ohio driver’s license and follow Agency vehicle insurance carrier requirements.
