The DC Location

Located in DC's hippest new neighborhood, Ivy City, DC, this marks our third location in the nation, and opened in February 2023. The Bomb DC has already emerged as one of the highest rated experiences in DC with over 5,000 5-star reviews on Google and has welcomed nearly 50,000 customers in less than 6 months.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

BEAT THE BOMB is looking for an awesome Event Coordinator to be the face and voice of our Event team. Our goal is to deliver a premium, fun experience to a wide variety of groups - from Corporate Teams to Tour Groups to Kids STEM Programming (after school, summer camps) to Birthday parties -- and build long-term relationships with our clients. This position will require strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to use software specific to event execution and guest relations management. This person must be willing to manage the full cycle of events from managing inquiries, event planning, executing contracts, and taking payments. This person will report directly to the General Manager with a dotted line to the Regional Event Sales manager in our HQ office. Core responsibilities include:

  • Provide excellent customer service to clients, from menu & event development, negotiations, planning, event execution and post event follow up
  • Work with clients to gather all necessary information to ensure event setup & execution details are accurate, and all information is efficiently communicated to the Beat The Bomb management and operations teams
  • Process correspondence (internal & external) payments and BEOs accurately and in a timely manner
  • Assisting customers with placing/confirming orders, communicating event details, directing on-site as needed, and processing invoices in a timely manner
  • Attend and manage on-site execution of events from installation, delivery, and setup through dinner service, and on occasion through to event conclusion as needed
  • Other duties as assigned by the General Manager or Operations Managers
  • Provide tours of the location for potential clients
  • Support additional local marketing efforts such as local partnerships, influencer marketing, flyering and other 'guerrilla' marketing tactics

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in a related field - guest relations, retail or hospitality, administrative or executive assistant roles
  • Highly self-motivated and hardworking with a hunger to learn, grow & win every day
  • Strong follow through with full ownership of the sales process from start to finish
  • Comfortable with software platforms
  • Detail oriented given work involves event planning, contracts and payment processing
  • Exceptional communication skills - both written and verbal

  • Experience with Salesforce, TripleSeat or similar CRM platform a plus
