OCVIBE is seeking enthusiastic Ushers to provide excellent customer service to guests. Ushers are expected to uphold the venue's quality standards and help create a safe, fun, and seamless experience for all guests. Our goal is to make each guest's experience at the venue as enjoyable and pleasant as possible. Ushers maintain a friendly and professional demeanor and are readily available to assist guests at all times. The ideal candidate will have experience providing in-person, customer-facing service.
Responsibilities
  • Assist guests at private and public gatherings, entertainment events, and other venue activities
  • Perform Guest Services duties, including ticket taking, ticket verification, club, suite, and general seating assistance, elevator assistance, program distribution, wayfinding, and providing information about venue amenities such as restrooms
  • Help manage guest entry into the venue by verifying valid tickets, operating ticket scanners, providing general directions, and distributing event materials
  • Lift and move boxes of event materials to designated locations as needed
  • Support assigned areas, including elevators, stairwells, aisles, lobbies, clubs, suites, and seating sections
  • Verify tickets for assigned sections, direct guests to their seats, assist with resolving ticketing issues, and support guests with special seating needs
  • Monitor assigned areas and proactively support guest needs by providing wayfinding assistance, answering questions, maintaining a visible presence, and reporting concerns to the Guest Services Manager or Lead Usher
  • Respond promptly to guest needs and escalate concerns to the Guest Services Manager or Lead Usher as appropriate
  • Work in confined areas, including elevators, when assigned
  • Follow established procedures during evacuations and emergencies
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, professionalism, and diplomacy
  • Strong verbal communication skills
  • Ability to climb and descend stairs at varying inclines
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with team members and supervisors
  • Ability to walk and/or stand for extended periods
  • Ability to work in varying indoor and outdoor climates
  • Flexible availability, including the ability to work at least 80% of monthly events and work nights, weekends, and holidays as required
