The Role Position:
Usher Locations:
Theaters, stadiums, and concert halls across New York City
Overview: You will manage guest experiences by scanning tickets, directing seating, answering questions, and ensuring a safe, welcoming environment. You’ll represent SGA with a positive attitude, professionalism, and a commitment to excellent service.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Customer Service: Greet patrons, distribute programs, guide guests to seats, and provide direction as needed.
  • Safety & Security: Monitor crowds, enforce house rules, assist with emergency evacuations, and communicate clearly with guests.
  • Ticket Verification: Scan or check tickets at entry points, confirm valid admissions, and troubleshoot entry issues.
  • Guest Assistance: Respond to inquiries about venue facilities, showtimes, accessibility, and seating options.
  • Team Collaboration: Work with venue staff and fellow ushers to maintain smooth operations and an enjoyable guest experience.

Requirements & Skills:
  • Communication: Strong verbal skills; able to interact warmly and professionally with guests, coworkers, and supervisors.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and climb stairs for extended periods; maintain energy during long shifts.
  • Availability: Regular evenings, weekends, and holiday shifts; flexibility to support event schedules.
  • Experience: Often entry-level-friendly; prior customer service or hospitality experience is a plus.
  • Reliability: Punctual, dependable, and able to follow directions and standards consistently.
  • Appearance & Demeanor: Pleasant, outgoing, approachable, and guest-focused.
