Your Impact: Own your opportunity to work with the largest government agency in the nation. Make an impact by advancing the Department of War's mission to keep our country safe and secure. USSTRATCOM is a Combatant Command responsible for strategic deterrence, nuclear operations, and enterprise IT services essential to national security. It oversees Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications (NC3), Joint Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations (JEMSO), Global Strike, and Missile Threat Assessments, working closely with other Combatant Commands, Services, and defense agencies. SCITLS will be a key component that will ensure mission success and the safety.

Support the development of capacity utilization dashboards that detail compute capacity and performance metrics.

Assist in developing and delivering capacity and performance reports as needed.

Validate, document, track, and manage the as-is capacity for compute resource area.

Monitor current performance and utilization, capacity projections, capacity issues, and assists in creating plans for improving performance and satisfying Government-approved Service Levels.

Define and develop capacity utilization dashboards that detail compute capacity and performance metrics.

Develop and deliver capacity and performance reports as needed.

Routinely interfaces with Government Capacity Manager and technical stakeholders to communicate compute capacity and performance status, changes, and issues.

Manage and track compute data and availability.

Extract data out of a variety of systems that manage capacity and performance.

WHAT YOULL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • BS degree; may be substituted for additional years of experience
  • 10+ years of IT/DoW configuration management experience
  • Security Clearance Level: Must have a current/active Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI status
  • Deep knowledge and experience in supporting the development of capacity utilization dashboards that detail capacity and performance metrics for Memory, Compute, Storage, Port Density, Bandwidth, and Licensing.
  • Certifications: Security + or CASP+ or CCNP Security or CISA or SSCP or other DoW 8140 approved certification. Ability to Obtain ITIL 4 Foundation ITSM Certification within the first 9 months
  • Desired: Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or SolarWinds Certified Professional (SCP) or Certified Capacity Management Practitioner (CCMP) or ITIL 4 Specialist: Create, Deliver and Support (CDS)
  • Working knowledge of SolarWinds, Vcenter, NetApp/Everpure or Splunk
  • Familiarity with PowerBI a plus!

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $129,813 - $161,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
