CATERING EVENT BARTENDER
The Event Bartender is responsible for beverage service at catering events for Founding Farmers Catering and Events. This role works under the direction of the Event Lead and ensures beverages are prepared and served according to company standards while maintaining responsible alcohol service. As a member of the event staffing team, the Event Bartender plays a key role in creating a positive guest experience while maintaining service standards, cleanliness, and attention to detail throughout the event. Success in this role requires arriving on time and in proper attire for every event, bringing positive energy and professionalism to each shift, and consistently delivering exceptional service with a friendly, guest focused demeanor.
This position requires reliable transportation to off premise and on-site catering events throughout the Washington, DC metropolitan area, Virginia, and Maryland. Candidates must have the ability to travel to and from event locations as needed. The catering production center is located in District Heights Maryland. This is a great opportunity for those looking to earn additional income as part of our growing catering and event staff. This is a pick up and on call position, events may occur weekends, nights and daytime hours throughout the week, making this perfect for flexible scheduling.
WHAT OUR EVENT BARTENDER DOES:
  • Set up, operate, and break down bar stations at events
  • Prepare and serve beverages according to approved recipes and company standards
  • Ensure bar areas are clean, organized, and fully stocked throughout the event
  • Engage guests professionally and make beverage recommendations when appropriate
  • Accurately document beverage consumption and provide reporting for bill on consumption bars
  • Assist servers, bartenders, and event staff as needed during service
  • Assist with event breakdown and clean up
  • Verify guest identification when required and follow all alcohol service policies ๏ฟฝ All other duties as assigned

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE AN EVENT BARTENDER:
  • At least one year of bartending experience preferred, catering experience a plus
  • TIPS certification required
  • Strong communication skills and professional appearance
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds, as needed
  • Capable of continuous bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, and use of hands and arms
  • Ability to work in a fast paced event environment
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift and carry trays, equipment, or supplies as needed
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holiday
