Job Summary

The Event Sales Manager is responsible for driving private event sales and ensuring successful execution of events at the venue. This role involves managing client relationships, coordinating with internal teams, and ensuring events align with brand standards and operational excellence. The Event Sales Manager works closely with the General Manager, FOH leadership, and Regional Directors to deliver exceptional guest experiences while meeting revenue goals.

Responsibilities

Sales and Business Development

  • Actively prospect and respond to inquiries to secure private event bookings, meeting monthly sales targets.
  • Build andmaintain relationships with clients, local businesses, and community organizations to drive event sales.
  • Develop creative proposals tailored to client needs while aligning with venue capabilities and brand standards.

Event Coordination

  • Serve as point of contact for clients during event planning process, ensuring clear communication andsatisfaction.
  • Collaborate w. FOH/BOH to execute events seamlessly, meeting client expectations and operational requirements.
  • Coordinate event details (menu details, timelines, andspecial requests), ensuring proper communication to team.

Operational Support

  • Attend events to oversee execution, address client concerns, and ensure a smooth experience.
  • Work with the FOH and kitchen teams to ensure timely setup, service, and breakdown of event spaces.
  • Conduct post-event follow-ups to gather feedback and foster repeat business opportunities.

Financial Contribution

  • Assist in developing event sales strategies to maximize revenue and profitability.
  • Monitor event costs and work within budgets to ensure profitability while maintaining high standards.
  • Provide regular sales reports to the General Manager to track progress and identify opportunities.

Guest Engagement & Brand Representation

  • Act as a brand ambassador, promoting the venue's unique offerings to potential clients.
  • Handle guest inquiries and concerns related to private events professionally and promptly.
  • Ensure all events uphold the brand's reputation for quality, service, and hospitality.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Event Management, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in event sales or management in an upscale, full-service venue.
  • Proven ability to meet sales goals and drive revenue through effective relationship-building.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a guest-centric approach.
  • Proficiency in event management software, CRM systems, and POS tools.

General Rules/Requirements

  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed to support event operations.
  • Scheduled hours average 40-45 per week, with variations based on event schedules.
  • Physical ability to stand & walk for extended periods, lift up to 30 lbs, andperform tasks in a fast-paced setting.
