Job description

Location: Multiple Sites (Regional Coverage)
Position Overview
Event Risk Inc. is seeking highly reliable, adaptable, and professional Flex Security Officers to support security operations across multiple client sites. This position is critical to maintaining contract integrity by providing coverage for call-offs, PTO, vacancies, and surge staffing needs.
Flex Officers must be prepared to work a dynamic schedule, respond to short-notice assignments, and uphold the highest standards of professionalism across all posts.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide coverage across multiple sites for:
    • Call-offs
    • Paid/Unpaid Time Off (PTO)
    • Vacant or unfilled shifts
    • Emergency staffing needs
  • Maintain consistent adherence to post orders at all assigned locations
  • Conduct:
    • Access control
    • Patrols (foot/vehicle)
    • Incident response and reporting
    • Customer service and client interaction
  • Ensure all assigned posts remain fully staffed and operational
  • Complete accurate and timely reports, including:
    • Daily Activity Reports (DARs)
    • Incident Reports
    • Pass-down logs
  • Maintain professional appearance and conduct in accordance with company standards
  • Communicate effectively with:
    • Site Supervisors
    • Operations Managers
    • Account Manager
  • Respond to schedule changes and assignments with urgency and reliability
Schedule & Availability Requirements
  • Must be available for flexible scheduling, including:
    • Days, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Must be able to work at multiple locations within the assigned region
  • Must be available for short-notice assignments (same-day or next-day coverage)
  • Expected to maintain an average of 40 hours per week
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid Driver's License with reliable transportation
  • Active state security license (or ability to obtain)
  • Prior security, military, or law enforcement experience preferred
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to adapt quickly to new environments and post requirements
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying conditions
  • Ability to respond quickly to incidents and emergencies
