We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join a nationally recognized heavy commercial general contractor on a landmark arena construction project in Reno, Nevada.

This is an opportunity to play a key role in the delivery of a high-profile venue that will serve as a destination for sporting events, concerts, conventions, and community gatherings for generations to come.

Our client is known for delivering some of the most complex and recognizable commercial construction projects throughout the Western United States. Their portfolio includes large-scale hospitality, gaming, entertainment, healthcare, aviation, public works, and mixed-use developments. They are actively hiring and moving qualified candidates through the interview process quickly.

The ideal candidate will have experience managing large commercial construction projects and thrive in fast-paced environments where collaboration, leadership, and problem-solving are essential to success.

What You'll Be Doing

Project Leadership

  • Manage all phases of construction projects from preconstruction through final turnover

  • Partner closely with Project Executives, Superintendents, Owners, Architects, and Consultants

  • Lead project planning, scheduling, budgeting, procurement, and execution efforts

  • Ensure project objectives related to safety, quality, schedule, and profitability are achieved

Financial Management

  • Develop and maintain project budgets and cost forecasts

  • Manage contracts, subcontracts, purchase orders, and change orders

  • Monitor project financial performance and identify opportunities to improve profitability

  • Review and approve subcontractor invoices and project billings

  • Prepare monthly financial reports and executive updates

Project Coordination

  • Lead subcontractor and owner meetings

  • Manage RFIs, submittals, procurement schedules, and project documentation

  • Coordinate with field leadership to ensure seamless project execution

  • Identify risks and develop proactive solutions to maintain project momentum

Client Relations

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with project stakeholders

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for owners, consultants, and trade partners

  • Communicate project updates, challenges, and solutions effectively

  • Ensure client expectations are exceeded throughout the project lifecycle

Schedule & Performance

  • Assist in developing and maintaining master project schedules

  • Monitor critical path activities and implement recovery plans when necessary

  • Coordinate long-lead procurement activities and material deliveries

  • Drive accountability across all project participants to meet key milestones

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred

  • 5+ years of Project Management experience within commercial construction

  • Experience managing large-scale commercial projects for a General Contractor

  • Arena, stadium, hospitality, casino, convention center, airport, healthcare, or other complex commercial project experience strongly preferred

  • Experience managing projects valued at $50M+ preferred

  • Strong understanding of construction contracts, budgets, scheduling, and project controls

  • Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or similar construction management software

  • Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and organizational skills

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional attention to detail
