Marketing Operations & Program Manager

Syndio

Atlanta, GA • On-site

Full-time

Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, PTO

Posted 6 days ago

Job description

Do you want to empower organizations to build smarter compensation strategies while ensuring fair pay for all employees?

Syndio is the leading pay governance and compensation intelligence platform. We help organizations make better pay decisions at every stage of the compensation lifecycle, from leveling and offers to promotions and merit. Our platform gives HR, compensation, and finance leaders the data and decision support they need to govern pay fairly, compliantly, and with confidence. We partner with many of the world's most recognized and respected enterprises, helping them implement leading-edge compensation solutions with expert guidance and analyzing pay for over 10 million employees across the world.

Join us in our mission to help companies make smarter pay decisions they can trust!

About the Role

Syndio's marketing organization runs a high volume of concurrent, cross-functional initiatives: product launches, category campaigns, executive events, partner co-marketing, and strategic brand work, spanning Brand, Content, PMM, Revenue Marketing, and PR. This role exists to make sure that volume of work actually lands: on time, with clear ownership, and with visible progress against goals.

This is a hybrid role by design. Half the job is marketing operations: the systems, processes, and infrastructure that let the team execute efficiently (tooling administration, vendor operations, reporting, workflow design). The other half is program/project management: building project plans, running cross-functional standups, tracking deliverables to completion, and defining and measuring what success looks like for major initiatives. The person in this role is the connective tissue across the marketing org, the one who can tell you, at any point, what's in flight, who owns it, what's at risk, and whether it's working.

This is not a role for someone who wants to specialize narrowly in either ops administration or project coordination alone. We need a systems thinker who can operate in both modes and knows when each is called for.

What You'll Do

Portfolio & Project Management

  • Build and maintain project plans for major cross-functional marketing initiatives (product launches, campaigns, executive events, partner programs), with clear milestones, owners, and dependencies
  • Run recurring cross-functional standups and check-ins for shared projects, keeping stakeholders aligned and unblocked
  • Track deliverables and status in a system of record, maintaining a single source of truth for what's in flight across the org
  • Identify risks and bottlenecks early, and escalate or resolve them before they threaten a deadline
  • Partner with initiative owners (Brand, Content, PMM, Revenue Marketing, PR) to define success criteria up front, and build the tracking to measure against it after launch
  • Maintain a rolling view of marketing's full project portfolio for the SVP of Marketing and leadership team: what's active, what's coming, where the capacity constraints are

Marketing Operations

  • Own and administer core marketing systems and tools (project management platforms, marketing automation/CRM touchpoints as applicable, reporting dashboards)
  • Manage marketing budget tracking, vendor onboarding/contracts administration, and purchase order workflows
  • Design and maintain repeatable operating processes: campaign intake, creative request workflows, approval chains, content calendars
  • Build and maintain reporting on marketing performance and operational health for leadership and board-level updates
  • Serve as the process owner for how work enters the marketing org and how it's prioritized across competing demands

Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Work closely with Brand/Creative, Content/Communications, Revenue Marketing/Events, and Product Marketing leads to understand upcoming needs and build realistic plans around them
  • Partner with Sales, Product, and Executive teams on marketing's role in cross-org initiatives (e.g., major launches, executive events, partner announcements)
  • Serve as a dotted line to revenue operations to stay up to date on technology, workflows, and shared success outcomes
  • Act as a trusted operator for the SVP of Marketing, someone who can take a half-formed initiative and turn it into a structured, trackable plan without needing heavy hand-holding
What You'll Bring
  • 4-7 years of experience in marketing operations, marketing project/program management, or a hybrid of both, ideally in B2B SaaS or a similarly fast-moving environment
  • Demonstrated ownership of project management tooling (Monday.com, Notion, Asana, or similar) at a team or org-wide level, not just individual task tracking
  • Experience running cross-functional standups or working sessions with stakeholders across brand, content, product marketing, and revenue marketing
  • Comfort building project plans from scratch for ambiguous, multi-stakeholder initiatives, and driving them to completion without direct authority over the people involved
  • Operational fluency: budget tracking, vendor management, process design, and reporting infrastructure
  • A systems-thinking mindset: someone who sees how the pieces of a marketing org connect and builds processes that scale, rather than one-off fixes
  • Strong written and verbal communication; able to translate status and risk clearly for both individual contributors and executive stakeholders
  • Bias toward structure and follow-through: this person creates order in ambiguity rather than waiting for it to be handed to them

Nice to have

  • PMP, Agile/Scrum, or similar project management certification
  • Experience supporting executive-level events or major public launches (product, brand, or category launches)
  • Familiarity with marketing automation platforms (Marketo, HubSpot, Salesforce) from an operations/admin standpoint
Why you'll love it here:
  • ???? Competitive Compensation. For this role our salary is targeted at $127,500-145,000 USD per year. Final offer amounts are determined by factors such as experience and expertise.
  • ????  Syndio Equity. So you can share in Syndio's success
  • ????  Flexible Vacation Policy. We encourage our team to recharge when they need to (includes up to 25 days PTO in UK) plus paid sick & safe time, compassion leave, and voting leave.
  • ????  Medical, Dental, Vision. Syndio pays 90% of employee premiums, and 50% for dependents.
  • ????  Life Insurance & Disability. Syndio covers the full premium.
  • ????Remote within the US (East Coast preferred) #LI-Remote
What Success Looks Like in the First 6 Months
  • Full visibility established: every major active marketing initiative has an owner, a plan, and a tracked status in Monday/Notion
  • Recurring cross-functional standups are running and stakeholders trust them as the source of truth for status
  • At least one major initiative (e.g., a product launch or executive event) is run end-to-end through this role's project management process, with documented success criteria defined before launch and measured after
  • Core marketing ops processes (intake, approvals, budget tracking) are documented and running with minimal SVP intervention
  • The SVP of Marketing has a reliable, standing view of portfolio health without having to personally chase status updates
