Job description

Essential Responsibilities: This description of job responsibilities is intended to reflect the major responsibilities and duties of the job, but is not intended to describe minor duties or other responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time.
  • Acting as an advisor, interfaces directly with product-line managers to develop, initiate, maintain and provide follow-up on marketing, advertising and promotional strategies that meet goals and objectives.
  • Project management as designated by the Director of Marketing or Vice President of Service Excellence. This includes the planning, development, approval, production supervision and placement of event, program or service line advertising; development and production of communications and collateral materials; coordination of day-to-day advertising; review of production and media placement; working with advertising agency when appropriate.
  • Keeps accurate documentation of activities and projects, which includes approvals, estimates, purchase orders, budgets, communications, collaterals, media placements, internal and external contacts and other information to facilitate more effective future requests for same projects, to assist in budgeting process, to track effectiveness and to develop improvement recommendations.
  • Maintains evaluation tool to measure event/program attendance and/or media response, how people hear about the programs, whether participants have ever used the hospital's inpatient or outpatient services and whether the program was directly or indirectly related to a hospital or health system service. The tool should also evaluate the program and speaker and gather ideas for future programs.
  • Writes, proofreads, edits and produces Health System collateral, including brochures, podcasts, direct mail, news releases, ads, flyers, and internal and external newsletters.
  • Coordinates and reviews all sponsorship opportunities
  • Manages speaking/community relations opportunities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, public relations or related degree required,

Experience
  • 3-5 years of marketing or public relations related experience. Health care experience preferred.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
  • Excellent communication and writing skills (editing and proofreading). Must be very organized and detail minded; Successful experience in prioritizing and organizing multiple and constantly varying tasks and projects. Able to represent the Health System in a professional manner.
  • Willing to adapt to constantly changing schedules, needs and responsibilities; requires good judgment and initiative. Knowledge and demonstrated skills with MS Office and Canva.
