Job description

the girl & the fig CATERS! is hiring Event Chefs to join our team in Sonoma. This role is ideal for someone with catering or restaurant experience who enjoys working in dynamic environments and executing high-quality food at off-site and on-site events.
We are part of a Sonoma-based restaurant group with multiple concepts, catering, and events. Our focus is on seasonal ingredients, thoughtful preparation, and delivering a seamless guest experience across all of our events.
As an Event Chef, you'll be responsible for preparing and executing menu items for catered events while maintaining high standards for food quality, safety, and presentation. This position requires strong time management, adaptability, and the ability to work efficiently in a variety of kitchen and event settings.
Pay & Schedule
  • $25-$50/hour, depending on experience
  • Part-time / on-call with flexible scheduling
  • Ideal for those with weekday commitments

What You'll Be Doing
You'll support food preparation and execution for events, including:
  • Preparing and cooking menu items using a range of techniques
  • Ensuring consistency, quality, and presentation of all dishes
  • Following proper food handling, safety, and sanitation standards
