Job Summary
The Event Crew 2 will primarily be responsible for assisting with the setup/strike and support of special events, weddings, functions, and other activities. The Event work crew team will report to the Event Operations Supervisors/Managers and will be expected to drive company vehicles to complete the delivery/pickup/installation of smaller task with little to no supervision. Other duties may include providing general assistance and support to the department, leadership, and the company as required.
Essential Job Duties
1. Properly and safely operate a box truck.
2. Provide friendly, professional service to internal customers and guest.
3. Load and unload tables, chairs, and other event/party rental items.
4. Setup rental equipment and test/ensure quality matches company expectations upon arrival. Must be able to understand and execute direction given from a pull sheet, email, phone, etc.
6. Rigging items that are 25lbs and under such as small chandeliers, bistro lighting, and other decor.
7. Running and connecting power requirements up to 20 amps.
8. Complete the installation of express/high peak/pop up style tents without supervision and supporting the team with larger installations.
9. Safely operating a warehouse forklift.
Qualifications
1. High school diploma or equivalent GED is preferred.
2. At least one (1) year of prior experience working with event set up and logistics preferred.
3. Demonstrated commitment to providing world class internal/external guest service.
4. Solid interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills; must be able to convey information clearly and concisely.
5. Excellent attention to detail with focus on quality, service, and safety.
6. Strong time management and organizational skills; can multi-task and adapt as required.
7. Ability to take direction and understand and execute instructions successfully.
8. Proactive, and exercises good judgment; can troubleshoot as needed.
9. Can operate effectively in an intense and dynamic guest service environment, and respond/interact with guests and vendors in a manner consistent with Biltmore standards.
Physical Requirments
1. Must be able to lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds on a regular basis with assistance.
2. Ability to stand/walk for extended periods of time.
3. Ability to climb ladders, stairs, and/or scaffolding.
4. Ability to reach overhead, bend, squat/kneel.
5. Must have a valid driver's license and be at least 19 years of age.
