Job description

DESCRIPTION

We’re looking for an Event Marketing Manager to partner with our Director of Events to bring Pontera's event strategy to life. This person will play a key role in planning and executing high-impact experiences while independently owning projects and collaborating closely with Marketing and Sales. We're looking for someone who is equal parts collaborator, executor, and creative problem solver. This role is a true partnership with the Directorof Events, helping bring our event strategy to life while continuously raising the bar for how Pontera shows up in the market.

You’ll support the planning and execution of our trade shows, hosted events, executive programs, and field marketing initiatives, while also owning projects independently when appropriate. You’ll help transform ideas into exceptional experiences, contribute your own creative thinking, and ensure flawless execution from planning through onsite delivery.

This is a hands‑on role for someone who thrives on both planning and execution. Whether you’re developing booth concepts, coordinating vendors, managing logistics, packing materials, setting up onsite, or solving last‑minute challenges, you’re willing to do whatever it takes to deliver a seamless and memorable experience. At Pontera, no task is too small when it comes to creating events that leave a lasting impression.

What Success Looks Like

You’re equally comfortable brainstorming a new booth experience as you are labeling shipping boxes, managing inventory, building a run of show, or troubleshooting onsite. You understand that exceptional events are built through thoughtful planning, meticulous execution, and a willingness to jump in wherever needed. You take pride in making the details invisible so attendees experience something extraordinary.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Partner with the Director of Events to plan and execute Pontera's trade shows, conferences, hosted events, executive dinners, and field marketing programs.
  • Independently manage assigned events and projects while collaborating on larger strategic initiatives.
  • Bring creative ideas to the table and help transform event concepts into engaging, memorable brand experiences.
  • Help elevate Pontera's presence through thoughtful booth design, branded environments, and event activations that attract the right audiences.
  • Own the operational execution of events, including shipping and receiving, inventory management, booth setup and teardown, registration management, vendor coordination, onsite logistics, and post‑event reconciliation.
  • Coordinate vendors, venues, agencies, shipping, travel, registration, and onsite logistics to ensure seamless execution.
  • Partner closely with Marketing and Sales to align event plans with business goals and campaign priorities.
  • Track event performance, lead tracking, maintain project plans, and identify opportunities to improve future programs.
  • Manage event‑level budgets, purchase orders, invoices, and expense tracking within approved plans.
  • Coordinate internal event communications, staffing plans, executive schedules, and event documentation to ensure cross‑functional readiness.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and industry partners.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining exceptional organization and attention to detail.
  • Travel up to 20% to support onsite event execution, including trade shows, conferences, and hosted events. This role includes occasional lifting, shipping, booth setup, and other hands‑on responsibilities to help deliver exceptional event experiences.
REQUIREMENTS
  • A collaborative mindset with the confidence to own projects independently while partnering closely with leadership on larger initiatives.
  • 5-7 years of experience in event marketing, field marketing, or event management in a B2B SaaS environment.
  • Proven experience managing trade shows, conferences, and industry events from planning through execution.
  • Strong expertise in vendor management, event logistics, budgeting, and project management.
  • Experience partnering cross‑functionally with Marketing, Sales, and external stakeholders.
  • Outstanding organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple complex initiatives simultaneously.
  • Experience building event reporting and performance measurement frameworks to evaluate program success.
  • A creative mindset with a passion for designing memorable brand experiences.
  • Comfortable working independently while collaborating effectively across teams.
  • This is a hands‑on role that requires a willingness to pitch in wherever needed to ensure every event is executed flawlessly.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience using Monday.com for project management.
  • Experience with Marketo or another marketing automation platform.
  • Experience in financial services marketing is a plus.
WHAT WE OFFER
  • Compensation: Annual Salary of $110,000-$130,000
  • Opportunity: Have a major impact at a fast‑growing startup that is revolutionizing the FinTech industry
  • Team Culture: A collegial, collaborative, fun work environment with frequent team events
  • Equity: All new hires are eligible for equity grant participation
  • Healthcare: Comprehensive & affordable insurance benefits with a variety of plan options
  • Retirement: 401(k) with employer match & employer‑sponsored access to a retirement advisor
  • Family Benefits: Paid parental leave & reimbursement program for family planning services (such as fertility treatments, adoption, or surrogacy
  • Professional Development: Sponsored learning & development program (to cover classes, certifications, and more!)
  • Food Perks: Fully stocked kitchen & lunch reimbursement program
  • Work Flexibility: A hybrid office work model (In‑Office Tues/Weds/Thurs and WFH Mon/Fri) & generous PTO day
