Logistics Health Safety and Sustainability Engineer
We are looking for an experienced HSE&S Engineer to lead and enhance Health, Safety, Environment & Sustainability programs across our U.S. cross-dock operations. This role is primarily based in Ogden, UT, with support for sites in Indiana and Mississippi.
As a key partner to operations, leadership, and logistics providers, you will drive risk reduction, compliance, and a strong safety culture across multiple locations..
In this role you will beresponsible for
  • Lead HSE&S program implementation across multi-site warehouse operations
  • Conduct safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify and mitigate hazards
  • Support and lead incident investigations, ensuring root cause analysis and corrective actions
  • Drive hazard identification, near-miss reporting, and proactive safety initiatives
  • Oversee contractor safety performance and enforce site safety requirements
  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and sustainability initiatives (energy, waste, emissions, water)
  • Track, analyze, and report HSE&S KPIs and trends
  • Support ISO 14001 / ISO 45001 audits and regulatory inspections
  • Lead emergency preparedness programs, drills, and response coordination
  • Coach and influence leaders and employees to strengthen safety culture and behaviors
  • Manage and follow up on workers' compensation claims
  • Partner with operations to ensure alignment with HSE&S logistics standards
What is required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (or related field)
  • Strong knowledge of HSE regulations and compliance standards
  • Experience with ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 systems and audits
  • Proven background in risk management, incident investigation, and operational safety
  • Experience in logistics, warehousing, or industrial environments
  • Proficiency in HSE reporting tools and Microsoft applications
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work across multi-site, cross-functional, and remote teams
  • Commitment to safety excellence, ethics, and continuous improvement
  • BATF&E knowledge is a plus
