As an Event Scripter at Ubisoft Toronto, you will integrate scripted events into the game engine throughout production while collaborating with teams across animation, programming, sound, level design, and level art. You’ll help create immersive gameplay moments and cinematic sequences that support the overall player experience.

What you’ll do

  • Review game design and level design documentation to understand gameplay goals, environments, story, atmosphere, and style
  • Collaborate with the narrative director to support cinematic sequences, cutscenes, and scripted events
  • Partner with the realization director to define requirements for scripted events and coordinate production needs with mission teams
  • Assess the technical and production feasibility of scripted events
  • Prepare and support the integration of scripted events with level design teams and other production groups
  • Integrate animations, gameplay elements, interactive objects, and scripted cameras into the engine
  • Test scripted sequences and cutaway scenes to ensure compatibility with other integrated game systems and levels
  • Identify and help resolve integration issues affecting scripted events
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to maintain consistency and quality across the game experience
  • Contribute to related production tasks as needed
