What you will be doing:
As an Event Maître D’ at Carmen’s Group, you will lead with professionalism, confidence, and composure—ensuring each event is executed to the highest standard and every guest enjoys an exceptional experience. Serving as both a leader and a host, you will oversee service coordination, support your team, and act as the primary point of contact between guests, staff, and management.
Your responsibilities will include: 
 
  • Lead the front-of-house service team throughout events, ensuring a seamless and exceptional guest experience from beginning to end.
  • Act as the on-site representative of the venue, proudly and professionally embodying the Carmen’s Group standard with warmth and confidence.
  • Oversee all aspects of service execution, including timing, food quality, presentation, and coordination of the service team.
  • Greet guests upon arrival, proactively anticipate their needs, and respond to questions or concerns with professionalism and a positive attitude.
  • Clearly communicate dietary restrictions, allergies, and special guest preferences to the kitchen and service teams to ensure accuracy and care.
  • Build strong knowledge of event menus and offerings to deliver informed, attentive, and confident service.
  • Support the team with food and beverage service, table maintenance, clearing, and other operational duties as required.
  • Ensure event spaces are fully prepared, well-presented, and maintained throughout service with a strong focus on cleanliness and flow.
  • Make timely, effective decisions in response to evolving guest needs or event changes while maintaining composure under pressure.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership, sound judgment, and a high level of attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
  • Promote a positive, respectful, and collaborative team culture centered around hospitality excellence.
  • Work closely with the Banquet Manager by following direction, supporting execution, and contributing feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Play an integral role in delivering memorable, high-quality experiences for guests and clients.
  • Carry out additional duties as assigned to support the successful execution of each event.

  • A polished and professional appearance and demeanor appropriate for upscale and formal events
  • Smart Serve Certification (required)
