Pay and Schedule

  • $20-24 per hour guaranteed against commissions
  • $50,000 annual salary during training, then commission with high earning potential 
  • Immediate bonus opportunities 
  • Top producers ongoing earning potential 75,000-100,000+ annually

FLEXIBLE SCHEDULING OPTIONS:


Flexible weekend and evening options. We know that in retail weekends and evenings are the busiest times. But these are also important family times! Tell us what schedule works best for you and we will come up with a set schedule that balances both. 

  • Full Time employees 40 hour schedule
  • Modified Full Time employees 32-36 hour schedule
  • Part Time Employees up to 28 hours a week schedule

Responsibilities


A Design Consultant assists the customer from start to finish, including providing in-home design services that are customized perfectly based on the customer’s style preferences. A design consultant is driven in every aspect of the job, including taking world class care of customers, selecting styles and colors, and drawing unique floor plans that are the perfect match for their customers. They truly enjoy meeting new people and building relationships based on trust and rapport. Our customers view their consultant as an inquisitive solution seeker, passionate about creating an ideal solution for their home furnishing needs.


Each Design Consultant receives unrivaled training, including:

  • Thorough product knowledge of our quality-crafted products
  • The technology that drives HOM Furniture, streamlines our work and simplifies our customer's shopping experience

Design Consultants participate in maintaining price cards plus light duty vacuuming and dusting in their assigned areas.


Requirements:


Education and Experience:


  • Must be working towards or have a high school diploma or GED, 2 year or 4 year college degree preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years exceptional customer service experience required
  • Big ticket top writer commission sales experience preferred, such as; home furnishings, automotive, recreational vehicles, appliances, etc.
