    As a National Historic Landmark and premier event destination, Meadow Brook Hall hosts a wide range of events—from elegant weddings and private celebrations to corporate functions, university events, and signature fundraisers. This is your chance to work in one of the most unique and inspiring settings in Michigan while doing what you love: planning and coordinating exceptional events.

    This position is employed by Continental Cregar’s LLC at Meadow Brook Hall under the terms of the Food and Beverage Services Agreement between Continental Cregar’s LLC and Oakland University.

  • Position Summary

    The Event Coordinator is responsible for planning and executing a variety of events across the estate and grounds of Meadow Brook Hall. You will be the primary point of contact for clients once an event is booked, guiding them through all the essential details—from menu selections and timelines to floor plans and vendor coordination. You’ll also provide on-site support during events to ensure a smooth, high-quality experience for every guest.

    This is a full-time position that requires flexibility to work evenings and at least two weekends per month based on event scheduling.

  • Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the lead contact for assigned events, managing all preevent communication and planning.
  • Coordinate meetings, vendor details, and logistical timelines.
  • Develop and distribute Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), floor plans, and timelines according to company standards.
  • Ensure a professional, polished presence onsite during events to oversee execution and assist clients and vendors.
  • Support the sales team with administrative tasks and collaboration on lead followup and reporting.
  • Maintain accurate, uptodate client records and event details using event management software.
  • Lead preevent planning meetings and attend tasting events as scheduled.
  • Assist with internal events, university functions, and seasonal fundraisers.
