Job description

Physician Assistant

Atlantic Adult and Pediatric Medicine is currently seeking an experienced part or full-time physician assistant.

Experience of a minimum of 1 year is required with a preference for experience in primary care. Our practice is focused on high quality physician-led care with outstanding patient outcomes. We treat both adult and pediatric patients, with a large geriatric population. Work week schedule will be up to 4 days per week Monday-Friday with potential for one evening per week. Each clinician treats 15 - 23 patients per day. We offer medical insurance, paid time off, CME benefit, weekends and holidays off. Clinicians rotate call on the evening/weekends and there are no Hospital rounds, outpatient only.

General Accountabilities
Obtains health information from patient.
Performs physical examinations and assesses any medical problems.
Practices safe and healthy control methods while working with patients.
Educations patients and families concerning medical treatments, medications, etc.
Administers or orders for diagnostic tests such as x-ray, electrocardiograms and lab tests.
Interprets test results to diagnosis any related health issues.
Counsels patients about compliance with medication.
Assists in pre-operation or post-operation care.
Coordinates activities of patient care.
Documents patients' progress with medication or treatment.

Education: Master's degree, PA-C
Experience: 3-5 years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
