The Superior County Behavioral and Psychological Center is seeking a dedicated and licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our specialized team focusing on geriatric psychiatry. This full-time position offers a unique opportunity to work remotely while providing vital mental health services to older adults in the Orange, California area. Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

Qualifications
  • A Master's or Doctoral degree from an accredited institution in fields such as Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.
  • Current and valid licensure in the state of California as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Psychologist.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of geriatric mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment modalities.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating a patient-centered and empathetic approach to care.
  • Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and virtual communication platforms to support effective documentation and collaboration.
Preferred Experience
  • A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience, preferably in geriatric mental health settings.
