Job description

Projects Inc. is a manufacturer of complex small, machined components serving the Aerospace, Power Generation and other industries for over fifty-five years. We are committed to quality, innovation, and continuous improvement in support of our customers' needs.
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced 2nd Shift CNC Supervisor to oversee our CNC machining operations during the evening hours. The ideal candidate will manage a team of CNC operators, ensure production schedules are met, uphold quality standards, and promote safety on the shop floor.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate the evening activities of CNC operators on the 2nd shift.
  • Plan and prioritize work orders to meet production deadlines.
  • Monitor CNC machine performance, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate repairs as needed.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and promote a safe working environment.
  • Maintain quality standards by inspecting parts and implementing quality control procedures.
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate CNC operators to improve skills and productivity.
  • Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to resolve manufacturing challenges.
  • Understand how to setup and operate various CNC Machines.
  • Maintain accurate production documentation and reports.
  • Enforce company policies and procedures related to safety, quality, and efficiency.

Requirements
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 8 years proven experience supervising CNC machining operations, in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of CNC programming, operation, and maintenance.
  • Familiarity with programing software is a plus.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Commitment to safety and quality standards.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certifications preferred.

Working Conditions:
  1. Second shift hours, typically 3:00 PM to 12:30 AM Monday through Friday.
  2. Fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  3. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
