Ellisville Rehab & Nursing is seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) Evening Supervisor to lead and oversee nursing staff during the evening shift. The RN Evening Supervisor ensures high-quality care is provided to residents, promotes a supportive work environment, and maintains compliance with state and federal regulations.
Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Supervision
- Oversee nursing staff during evening shifts, including RNs, LPNs, and CNAs.
- Ensure adequate staffing levels by monitoring attendance and arranging coverage when needed.
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Conduct performance evaluations and address staff concerns in coordination with the Director of Nursing.
Resident Care
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the care needs of residents.
- Monitor resident conditions and ensure timely documentation of any changes.
- Respond to emergencies, provide crisis management, and communicate critical updates to families and physicians.
- Conduct rounds to ensure all residents are receiving appropriate care and treatment.
Compliance & Quality Assurance
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations, as well as facility policies and procedures.
- Participate in Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) initiatives.
- Monitor infection control practices and adherence to safety protocols.
Communication & Coordination
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care and services for residents.
- Serve as the point of contact for evening shift staff, residents, families, and external providers.
- Communicate significant events or issues to the on-call administrator or Director of Nursing.
QualificationsEducation & Licensure
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri, in good standing.
- BLS/CPR certification (required).
Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in long-term care or skilled nursing.
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience is strongly preferred.
