Job description

CHI St. Alexius Health Dickinson, part of CommonSpirit Heath, a national nonprofit health system based in Englewood, Colorado. The faith-based system operates in 18 states and includes 103 hospitals. Additional services offered within the system are: long-term care, assisted and residential living communities, community health services organizations, home health agencies, and numerous outpatient facilities.


As a Cardiac Rehab RN, you will be a pivotal caregiver, guiding patients through critical cardiac recovery and empowering them and their families with life-changing support and education.
Every day, you will expertly assess complex cardiac conditions, meticulously monitor patient progress, and collaborate seamlessly with our multidisciplinary team to optimize healing and long-term wellness plans, ensuring no two days are alike.
To be successful in this role, you will combine acute assessment skills and an adaptable, detail-oriented approach with a compassionate drive to go the extra mile, shaping enduring positive health outcomes for every patient.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervises the staff and department under the direction of the CNO.
  • Provides direct nursing services to cardiac/pulmonary rehab patients, adapted to the patients’ age and needs: Initiates and revises the plan of care, assists in discharge planning, assess patients, provides education, and accurately documents each encounter.
  • Demonstrates accountability for and contribution to program development, quality improvement, problem solving, and productivity enhancement in a flexible team fashion.
  • Revises and initiates new policies according to AACVPR and facility guidelines.
  • Takes immediate action in unsafe situations (example: proper tagging and reporting of equipment malfunction or wiping up water/urine spills). IRIS reporting.
  • Shares expertise by mentoring, precepting, or teaching an in-service or class.

We are offering a $20,000 Incentive to new hires who meet the eligibility  requirements.


Required

  • Associate Of Nursing Sys/Div/Mkt/Local Supervisor OR Bachelor’s Degree and minimum of one (1) year experience in the discipline or three (3) years’ experience in the discipline or Master’s Degree
  • Registered Nurse: ND
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) - CPR
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), within 90 Days


Preferred

  • One-year ICU/Medical/Surgical experience
