Title: Technical Manager - Utility Scale

Industry: Photovoltaic, Utility Scale Solar, Solar Inverter, Energy Storage, Grid Integration, Medium Voltage Solutions

Primary Location: Poland, preferred Warsaw, with regular travel across EMEA when required

How you will help us
  • Provide technical leadership for utility‑scale PV projects across EMEA.
  • Support customers, EPCs, Developers, IPPs and internal sales teams with grid code, inverter application, MV station and system integration expertise.
  • Act as the main technical interface between EMEA utility customers and HQ R&D, Product Management, Quality and Certification teams.
  • Review customer technical requirements, tender specifications, grid connection requirements and compliance obligations.
  • Support technical validation of utility‑scale opportunities before proposal submission and order confirmation.
  • Coordinate technical documentation, certificates, test reports, declarations and compliance evidence required for customer approval and grid connection.
  • Support certification and whitelisting activities in priority European markets, including requirements mapping and technical gap analysis.
  • Provide technical training to customers, partners, sales teams, service teams and internal stakeholders.
  • Support commissioning preparation, technical troubleshooting, issue escalation and root cause analysis for utility‑scale projects.
  • Work closely with the Application/Proposal Engineer on system configuration, product selection, design assumptions and technical clarifications.
  • Provide technical feedback to HQ to improve product performance, documentation, firmware, monitoring tools and future product roadmap.
  • Support creation of technical sales tools, application notes, design guidelines and product training materials.
  • Represent SOLPLANET in technical meetings, audits, customer workshops and industry discussions.
Your background and skills
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering, Power Systems or a related technical field.
  • 5+ years of experience in renewable energy, preferably utility‑scale PV, solar inverter application, grid integration or power systems engineering.
  • Strong understanding of utility‑scale PV plant architecture, inverter technology, MV systems, transformers, communication systems and monitoring platforms.
  • Experience with European grid codes, NC RfG, country‑specific requirements and utility approval processes.
  • Knowledge of certification and compliance processes such as CE, VDE, PTPiREE, grid code certificates and related technical documentation is an advantage.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical specifications, grid connection conditions, single‑line diagrams and tender documentation.
  • Experience in customer‑facing technical support, training, commissioning support or application engineering.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to manage complex technical discussions under time pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Fluent English; Polish, German or another European language is an advantage.
