The T. Rowe Price 10-week Summer Internship Program offers an opportunity to gain valuable work experience while building skills and long-term career potential. Through teamwork, innovative thinking, and application of your skills, you can add value in various ways to our firm and the clients we support. You will have the opportunity to work with practitioners in the field who are forward-thinking, passionate people that will help you integrate what you learn in school with "real world" business initiatives.

The program includes a formal orientation, peer and senior mentor assignments, and formal learning opportunities. In addition to the work assignments within the assigned department, Interns also gain exposure to associates and senior leaders across the firm through an executive speaker series, networking activities, and engagement with our Business Resource Groups, which advance diversity and inclusion efforts across the firm.

Advancing our company's business strategy and delivering the products and services our clients need to reach their financial goals depends on us-through the advice and counsel we give to our business partners every day and our ability to navigate a complex and dynamic legal, regulatory, and risk and control landscape. Our Legal business unit is comprised of three segments: Corporate, Global Advisory and U.S. Collective Fund functions. Corporate legal covers aspects such as litigation, insurance, intellectual property. The Global Advisory team supports the legal affairs for our global distribution business units within the Americas, European, Middle East, Africa, Asia and the Pacific regions. Our U. S. Collective Funds manages the legal functions within the individual investor, intermediary services and retirement plan space.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities may include:

  • Working on a variety of legal, compliance and transactional matters related to the financial services regulation of its global asset management business, compliance and reporting, capital markets, intellectual property, and litigation and corporate governance.
  • Conducting legal research on projects assigned by attorneys and drafting memoranda and business correspondence related to that research.
  • Reviewing and drafting contracts and disclosure documents.
  • Participate in business and industry meetings and conference calls
  • Complete assignments to gain an understanding of the work performed by an in-house legal department that supports the business of a global financial services firm.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Full time student pursuing a juris doctorate degree

Preferred:

  • Cumulative grade point average of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
  • First or second-year JD completion preferred

FINRA licenses are not required and will not be supported for this role.

Work Flexibility

This role is eligible for hybrid work, with up to two days a week from home.
