Purpose of Position

As a Software Engineer I, you will participate in the complete software development lifecycle—from design and architecture to system integration, usability, and delivery. You will play a dual role: maintaining critical legacy systems while actively contributing to a modern Lakehouse Platform. You’ll collaborate closely with fellow engineers, product owners, and management to deliver high-quality, scalable SaaS solutions in a fast-paced, agile environment.

This role emphasizes hands-on development, performance tuning, testing, and production support. A key focus is adopting a "moving left" philosophy by utilizing local Kubernetes environments for early validation of containerized services before deployment. You will adhere to best practices in security, privacy, and compliance, specifically within the context of a private cloud-based environment.

  • Write unit tests and contribute to automated testing strategies.
  • Design and implement logging, error-handling patterns, and performance monitoring dashboards.
  • Identify and optimize slow-performing SQL queries and system bottlenecks.
  • Participate in backlog grooming, sprint planning, and status updates to keep stakeholders informed.
