Responsible for designs water treatment systems developing detail P& ID, layout, Piping layout, BIM coordination by Auto plant 3D or AutoCad 2D. Activities include handling skid design.
Title: Detail Design Engineer

Responsibilities
Cad Engineering
  • Uses AutoCad to draw process and instrument diagrams and layout drawings by both 2D and 3D for project activities.
  • Uses specialized 3D modeling software to develop Piping layout and BIM coordination at construction site.
  • Uses specialized 3D modeling software to develop skid drawings to manufacture skids.
  • Responsible for skid design activities including providing layout of equipment and piping on skid using sketches; assembling data sheets on all items on skid; reviewing design for process and ergonomic functionality, easy manufacturing, fit space criteria, structural soundness and efficiency, anchoring accessibility and meeting customer criteria; and issuing drawings for manufacture.
  • Interfaces with customer as needed including reviewing design and layout, incorporating customer requests, and addressing concerns.
  • Handles troubleshooting including investigating problems, gathering data and finding solutions to customer issues.
  • Responsible for planning and detail engineering design including designing overall water treatment system, , and developing and detailing P&ID, layout, any related drawings.

Other Responsibilities
  • Writes weekly report to document progress and problems.
  • Seeks constant improvement, more efficient and less expensive ways and means in work processes.
  • Reviews and advises management on issues related to work activities.
  • Performs special projects and other miscellaneous duties as assigned by supervisors
  • Maintains high ethical standards in the work place.
  • Reports all irregular issues and problems to supervisors for solution.
  • Maintains good communication with supervisors, office staff members and outside contacts.
  • Complies with all company policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe working area.
  • Issues research/status reports

Qualifications
Education & Work Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent; or three to seven years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3 ~ 5 years of previous experience in similar position.

Tools and Equipment
  • General office equipment including phones, fax, copier, personal computer, scanner, etc.
  • Software includes the use of Windows operating system, MS Office.
  • Specialized engineering drawing software such as CAD and 3D software

  • Infrequent travel required, mostly by car and mostly day trips.
