Job description

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย  General Responsibilities:

oย ย  Safety first approach to all work activities.

oย ย  Field data gathering for electrical power distribution systems, equipment, and components.

oย ย  Data manipulation and development of one-line drawings, power distribution riser diagrams, wiring diagrams, sketches, etc.

oย ย  Understanding and utilization of software and operating systems such as ETAP, SKM, AutoCAD, Microsoft Projects, Procore, Salesforce, etc.

oย ย  Troubleshooting and Test procedures for installed equipment and systems as may be necessary.

oย ย  Repair and/or replacement of electrical equipment and components as may be necessary.

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย  General Expectations:

oย ย  Compliance with a safety-first culture utilizing all required PPE.

oย ย  Neatness, promptness, professional, and polite

oย ย  Fuel Cards/Credit Cards (if issued) โ€“ maintain and follow expense policy expectations.

oย ย  Follow established safety procedures, test procedures, NFPA 70E requirements.

oย ย  Retain valid driverโ€™s license as well as current and authorized Electrical Journeyman License.

Data Gathering Procedure for Arc Flash Risk Assessment

โ€ข Site Data Collection: Conduct comprehensive site surveys to gather electrical system data, including single-line diagrams, equipment nameplate details, and protective device settings.

โ€ข Equipment Identification: Identify and document all relevant electrical components, such as transformers, circuit breakers, relays, switchgear, and panels.

โ€ข Measurement and Verification: Perform field measurements of conductor lengths, cable sizes, and conduit details to ensure accurate input data.

โ€ข Load and Circuit Analysis: Record load data, operational settings, and circuit configurations to capture real-time electrical system behavior.

โ€ข Coordination with Site Teams: Collaborate with onsite engineers, electricians, and facility managers to ensure accurate data acquisition and address potential challenges.

โ€ข Data Validation: Review and validate collected data for accuracy, consistency, and completeness before analysis.

โ€ข Software Expertise: Utilize SKM Power Tools or ETAP to input data and perform preliminary modeling, analysis, and validation of electrical systems.

โ€ข Arc Flash Label Installation: Assist with or oversee the proper installation of arc flash labels on electrical equipment after the completion of the risk assessment to ensure compliance and enhance workplace safety.

โ€ข Compliance Assurance: Ensure that all gathered data complies with applicable safety standards, such as NFPA 70E, IEEE 1584, and OSHA regulations.

โ€ข Documentation: Prepare detailed reports of gathered data, including photographs, schematics, and field notes, for use in arc flash risk analysis.

โ€ข Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance data-gathering procedures and streamline workflows for efficiency and accuracy.

Preferred Skills and Expertise:

โ€ข Proficiency in SKM Power Tools or ETAP software for electrical system modeling and analysis.

โ€ข Familiarity with arc flash risk assessment methodologies, standards and label installation

โ€ข Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work independently in diverse industrial setting

This work will be headquartered out of Tampa, with Company Vehicle. Travel to site locations primarily in Florida.
