QUALIFICATIONS FOR A PLUMBING/HVAC ESTIMATOR


  • Minimum of five (5) years’ proven experience as an HVAC and plumbing estimator, preferably within the new home construction industry.
  • Ability to plan, organize, coordinate and motivated with strong time management, analytical and follow through skills.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC and plumbing systems, installation processes, and industry standards.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to prepare precise, accurate estimates.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work effectively with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with estimating software and tools (e.g., Buildertrend, ProEst, Quickpen, Manual J, or similar software).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Word, etc.) and/or other relevant software programs.
