This position focuses on overseeing projects within Division 8 and Division 10, areas critical to our operations and growth. In this key role, you will be entrusted with the full spectrum of project management responsibilities, ensuring the timely and cost-effective completion of each project.
As our ideal candidate, you will demonstrate an ability to provide high-quality estimates, manage incoming opportunities effectively, and document outcomes with precision. Once assigned a project, you will become the pivotal link, coordinating with all relevant parties to ensure that the right items ordered and are delivered at the right time and for the right price. Your role is not just about managing projects, but about upholding the standards of excellence and commitment that have been the hallmark of Basnight & Sons for a century.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Overseeing accurate Take-Off and Estimates for proposals.
  • Project detailing and purchasing.
  • Coordinating project execution with team members and manufacturers.
  • Efficiently create, manage, and organize job documents.
  • Plan, schedule, and track project timelines/milestones using bid tracking software.
  • Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential issues, and resolve scope conflicts.
  • Build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the project.

Skills and Qualifications:
  • 3+ Years experience in Door & Hardware Detailing, Estimating, and Project Management.
  • Proficiency in software tools like ComSense and Pro-Tech is preferred.
  • Proven experience in project management in construction, building materials, or related industry.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a customer-focused mindset.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments.
  • Personable people manager.
  • Strong competency with Microsoft Office products including Excel, Teams, Outlook, and OneDrive.
  • Strong knowledge of door and hardware products, materials, and industry standards.
