Job description

SubsidiaryVulcan Steel ProductsOverview

This role supports the productivity of the Estimating and Sales teams by managing administrative processes, coordinating communication across departments, and maintaining accurate documentation and reporting.

Responsibilities
  • Receive bid requests from outside sales representatives and internal team members;enter and maintain detailed project information in the CRM, and schedule estimatesto be completed.
  • Review architectural and structural drawings, specifications, blueprints, and supporting documents to identify information required for estimating and scheduling.
  • Perform detailed assessments of project documents and requests to verify completeness, accuracy, and readiness for estimating and processing.
  • Identify discrepancies, missing information, and potential issues, and coordinate with Sales, Estimating, and external stakeholders to obtain required documentation.
  • Provide administrative support to Estimating department; maintain, and update estimating, sales, and operational reports.
  • Serve as a communication hub between Estimating and Sales.
  • Communicate regularly with internal departments and leadership to support continuous improvement initiatives and enhance departmental efficiency andaccuracy.
Qualifications

Required Strong attention to detail with exceptional accuracy in data entry, document review,and reporting. Excellent organizational, multitasking, and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize effectively. Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and frequent interruptions. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, architectural plans, and specifications. Proficient computer skills (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) Ability to manage and monitor the bid process daily. Effective, professional communication both in written and verbal form. Ability to handle difficult customers with professionalism.

Preferred Salesforce.com experience Experience in construction, estimating, manufacturing, or project coordination. An associate's degree in business administration or related field 2 or more years' experience in sales or related field
