Job description

Role and Responsibilities
  • Receive Request for Proposals (RFPs) from the General Contractor or MSS Salesperson.
  • Review Bid Documents including drawings, construction schedule, project address, client, owner and specifications for all divisions (Mechanical Construction/Controls/Fire & Security).
  • Assemble the Bid Documents and scope for the Director of Preconstruction to review.
  • Enter RFPs and create calendar invites in Microsoft Bid Calendars.
  • Update Microsoft Bid Calendar and RFPs folder with additional invitations and bid extensions.
  • Maintain customer communications with clients and customers.
  • Work directly with Estimators on reviewing equipment schedule and pricing requests.
  • Contact vendors/subcontractors for pricing.
  • Prepare bid packages.
  • Organize Lunch and Learns for the Estimators to attend in order to learn about new equipment/systems.
  • Change orders.
  • Greet vendors/subcontractors at main entrance and follow up with them.
  • Export Microsoft Calendars into Excel.
  • Other such duties and responsibilities as assigned by the company from time to time.

Qualifications and Education Requirements
  • Proficient with all Microsoft Office related products (Excel, Word, etc.).
  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Must successfully pass a background check & drug test.
  • Physical Demands: Constant sitting, walking short distances, bending, stooping, twisting, reaching above and/or below shoulder, handling/grasping documents or office equipment, clear speaking and adequate hearing sufficient to communicate effectively and respond appropriately in-person and/or on the telephone, vision sufficient to read source materials and computer screen data, repetitive motions for computer equipment use, lift 25 lbs. occasionally, 5-10 lbs frequently to lift/carry/move objects, files and documents.

Work Environment: Work is performed in an office environment with air conditioning and bright lights.
