Job Summary

The Estimating Coordinator works closely with the Estimating team to assist with satisfactory and timely completion of all projects. This position is accountable to ensure all construction information is upโ€toโ€date, consistent, and organized.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Perform administrative support tasks for the estimating department
  • Create and maintain proposal folders with all updates to plans
  • Develop and maintain estimating systems and procedures
  • Assist in calls to subs for each project
  • Set up projects in Building Connected
  • Download, organize, maintain documents and all estimating folders at all phases of preconstruction and estimating. Distribute information to all related parties as required
  • Communicate regularly with team on deliverables and schedules
  • Update schedules and keep estimators and project managers informed of any project concerns, proper coverage, changes, or schedule conflicts
  • Respond to internal and/or external customer inquiries or escalate as appropriate
  • Assist Estimating with sending out RFI and addendums to subs once saved in appropriate folder
  • Collect sub proposals and place in appropriate folders
  • Assist in the preparation of project estimates and requests for proposals and budgets
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Associate Degree in construction management or equivalent combination of education and trade experience
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in an office environment/similar role
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Relevant experience in a construction environment preferred
  • Good time management and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of accounting and project management concepts
  • Knowledge in reading commercial construction plans and specifications
  • Knowledge of budgeting/estimating preferred
  • Knowledge of Timberline and On-Screen Takeoff preferred
  • High level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential/proprietary information
  • Ability to multi-task while focusing on quality, accuracy, and attention to detail
  • Ability to work well with cross functional teams
