Job description

About the Firm:
We are a well-established, small law firm in Tustin, seeking a motivated and experienced Paralegal with at least two years of experience to assist in the areas of Estate Planning and Trust Administration.
Role Overview:
As a Paralegal, you will work closely with the Attorney and other team members, contributing to the preparation and execution of key legal documents, client interactions, and overall administrative tasks. We are looking for someone eager to learn and grow within the firm while providing exceptional support to our clients.

Pay: Pay is contingent upon experience.
Primary Responsibilities:

  • Estate Planning Paralegal Tasks:
    • Draft estate planning documents (wills, trusts, powers of attorney, etc.) using Statular estate planning software
    • Notarize estate planning documents
    • Perform some legal research
    • Assist with phone answering and intake
    • Calendaring and scheduling appointments
    • Input legal costs into client files using legal software
    • Assist in drafting trust administration documents
  • Other Duties:
    • Billable hours per day
    • Quickly learn the basics of our other firm offerings
    • Obtain Notary License (Firm will cover associated costs)


Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 year of relevant experience
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Must be detail-oriented and proactive
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to work well in a team environment with attorneys and fellow paralegals
  • Must have a stable work history
  • Worked with any estate planning software

Work Environment & Schedule:

This position will begin as an in-office role, with the opportunity to transition to a hybrid schedule based on performance and team needs.

  • Flexible scheduling options available:
    • Four 10-hour days (one full weekday off)

    • Four 9-hour days + half-day Friday

    • Standard 8-hour Monday–Friday schedule

  • Must be okay with small dogs in the workplace
