About us: Located at Newport on the Levee, Velocity Esports is a cutting-edge esports and entertainment platform with a focus on bringing you next level entertainment experiences. We offer premier esports lounges, arcade games, bowling, billiards & darts, live tournaments and other in person entertainment features. Whether competing in a tournament or enjoying elevated casual dining, craft beverages and arcade games in person at one of our venues, our commitment is to deliver "Next Level Gaming, Next Level Fun" to our guests.

Reporting to the General Manager, the Arcade & Retail Manager has overall responsibility for the operations and profitability of the business for the functional area(s) they are assigned.

Daily Tasks:

  • Manage the daily shift and guest experience
  • Ensure the guest experience and quality of products and displays are at standard
  • Oversee and Lead all hourly team members.
  • Set daily, weekly, monthly goals with direct reports
  • Oversee training, schedule, and development of hourly employees
  • Weekly/monthly inventory
  • Track and manage game payouts to company expectations
  • Maintain a safe, clean and inviting store
  • Ensure all operating and quality standards are met.
  • On premise liaison with contracted vendors.
  • Coordinate and execute parties and events.
  • Oversee aspects of units ordering, receiving, inventory and cost control systems.
  • Generation of daily, weekly and monthly reporting
  • Compliance with all cash handling policies and procedures

Musts:

  • 2 - 5 years management experience within an entertainment concept, theme park or high-volume restaurant
  • Local or State regulation requirements regarding food handling and/or liquor service.
  • Must be able to provide excellent Guest Service
  • Must have excellent time management & follow up skills necessary to perform in a fast paced, high-volume environment.
  • Must have the ability to hold the team accountable, but also motivate and coach the team to strive to the be the best. Servant Leadership works best.
