The Federal Work Study Esports Stream Coordinator assists with the technical infrastructure and aesthetic execution of live digital broadcasts. This Federal Work Study position is onsite in the production studio. This position helps to ensure that live stream meets professional quality standards by assisting with hardware, audio, and software testing. The Federal Work Study Esports Stream Coordinator position assists with complex scene transitions and real-time troubleshooting and assists with support a rotating cast of student community streamers to elevate the presentation value of the program.
Responsibilities:
  • Assists with pre-flight technical audits on studio hardware, capture cards, audio mixing equipment, and local network configurations.
  • Helps to configure and optimize Open Broadcaster Software (OBS) profiles, bitrates, scene layouts, and automated alerts for scheduled titles.
  • Works with the Esports Manager to Implement and update broadcast overlays, graphic asset packages, sponsor rotations, and video stings in coordination with design teams.
  • Assists the Esports Manager as the technical director during live tournament streams, switching layouts and monitoring feed stability.
  • Support the official program Twitch team by helping to manage channel permissions, archiving VODs, and resolving player tech issues.

Qualifications:
  • Experienced technical knowledge of Open Broadcaster Software (OBS Studio) or Streamlabs, including scene nesting, plugin management, and encoding settings is preferred.
  • Understanding of streaming hardware pipelines, including dual-PC setups, capture cards (e.g., Elgato), digital audio interfaces, and basic networking (NDI, SRT, or bitrates) is preferred.
  • Real-time troubleshooting skills to quickly resolve software crashes, audio desyncs, or dropped frames is preferred.
  • Ability to meet committed timelines with efficiency and attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Able to work effectively in independent and team-based settings.
  • Self-motivated; excellent time management and organization.
  • Ability to work some weekends and regular hours (up to 20 hours per week).
  • Interest in games and esports is preferred.

$19.61 per hour
