Are you passionate about helping individuals reclaim their lives from substance use disorder? Join our dedicated team at Esper Treatment Center, an experienced Opioid Treatment Program providing comprehensive addiction treatment and recovery services. We are seeking a compassionate, skilled, and experienced Drug and Alcohol Counselor to support our patients on their journey to recovery.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct individual and group counseling sessions for patients
  • Assess patient needs and create personalized treatment plans
  • Provide ongoing emotional support, education, and resources for patients and their families
  • Monitor patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary
  • Collaborate with medical and clinical teams to ensure holistic, effective care
  • Document patient interactions and treatment progress in compliance with clinic policies and regulations
  • Stay updated on best practices in addiction treatment and maintain professional certifications
Qualifications:

  • Bachelors or masters degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or related field is required
  • Certified as an addiction counselor (CAAC, CADC, CAADC) by the Pennsylvania Certification Board is preferred
  • Minimum of 1 years of experience in substance abuse counseling, ideally in an Opioid Treatment Program or similar setting
  • Strong understanding of addiction, Opioid Treatment Program protocols, and related therapeutic approaches
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Compassionate, empathetic, and patient-focused approach to care
  • Ability to work early morning hours
