Education Specialist I - Strategic Integration Liaison Job Description
The purpose of the MTSS SIL is to develop the capacity of the Local Education Agency (LEA) leadership team to effectively implement a Multi-Tiered System of Support(MTSS) program, process, and framework to promote positive student outcomes through LEA systems change.
Education Qualifications
1. Valid Texas Teaching Certificate
2. Valid Texas Special Education Teacher Certificate (preferred)
3. Master's degree in Special Educaton
Experience
  1. Minimum of five years in an LEA, regional education center, or the Texas Education Agency in a management position.
  2. Successful experience incollaboration with and learning from multiple sources (working successfully on a team).

Salary: From 68379.00
Salary: To 100489.00

Special Knowledge and Skills (Required)
1. Strong program development and project management skills in special education and general education as an educator and/or administrator with quantifiable and clear results for student achievement.
2. Ability to plan, implement, and follow up on staff development and training
3. Knowledge and skills for providing coordinated assistance in the Multi-Tiered Systems of Suport process
4. Ability to demostrate strong leadership capacity
5. TIERs Essential Trainer Certification (preferred)
6. Proven experience leading and coaching adults, and experience in working successfullyu on a team
7. Must possess high expectations for the achievement of all students, inculding students with or suspected as having disabilites
8. Must possess strong abilities in communicating with diverse groups of stakeholders
9. Knowledge of instructional porcesses and strategies used with struggling learners in LEAs
10. Proven experience leading and coaching adults, and experience in working successfully on a team.
