Job description

Ignite Digital is seeking a Senior ERP Functional SME to support the US Navy ERP+ system, a mission-critical enterprise platform used to manage financial, logistics, and supply chain operations across the Navy. This role is ideal for an experienced ERP professional who understands how enterprise systems translate into real operational outcomes. The selected candidate will work directly with government stakeholders to analyze business processes, improve system utilization, and help ensure the platform delivers meaningful mission value. At Ignite, we focus on outcomes, not just system maintenance. We partner with our customers to improve decision-making, streamline operations, and ensure enterprise platforms like Navy ERP support the mission effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Provide senior functional support for the US Navy ERP+ environment, including analysis of business processes, system configuration, and enhancement support across ERP modules
  • Support functional areas within financial management, supply chain, and logistics processes, including activities related to procurement, funds management, asset visibility, and financial execution within the ERP platform
  • Analyze and troubleshoot ERP transactions, master data, and process workflows to identify root causes of system issues and recommend functional solutions
  • Collaborate with government stakeholders to translate operational requirements into ERP system capabilities, including functional specifications, configuration updates, and process improvements
  • Support ERP configuration and enhancement activities, including requirements analysis, functional design, testing coordination, and validation of system updates
  • Perform functional impact assessments for system changes, upgrades, and new capability deployments within the Navy ERP+ environment
  • Support testing activities, including development of test scenarios, execution of functional testing, and validation of system changes within the ERP environment
  • Provide guidance on ERP data integrity, master data management, and reporting capabilities, ensuring accurate financial and logistics data within the system
  • Assist in identifying opportunities to optimize ERP workflows and improve system utilization to better support operational and financial decision-making
  • Serve as a senior functional advisor to government stakeholders, helping ensure ERP capabilities align with mission priorities and operational needs

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience supporting enterprise ERP systems
  • Experience supporting SAP-based ERP environments (preferably US Navy ERP)
  • Strong understanding of DoD financial management, logistics, or supply chain processes
  • Experience translating operational requirements into ERP functional capabilities
  • Experience supporting system configuration, enhancements, and testing
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience supporting federal or DoD programs
  • Experience supporting ERP modernization, optimization, or system improvement initiatives
  • Relevant experience in supporting migration from on premise to cloud based SAP
  • Strong understanding of Fiscal Law 
  • Experience with all SAP S/4HANA keywords and modules:
    • FI/CO (Financial Accounting / Controlling)
    • MM (Materials Management)
    • Plant Maintenance / Asset Management
    • Supply Chain or Logistics Management

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of SAP Integration/Testing in WCF command
  • Experience in Sales & Distribution (SD) 
  • Active DoD Secret clearance
  • Experience supporting US Navy ERP

Schedule: Hybrid 3-4 days onsite in Charleston, SC

Salary: 120k+ to align with experience and education
