Job description

Required experience:
  • Minimum 3 years of experience
  • Knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) applications or object-oriented analysis and design.
  • Experience in requirements development, system design, and testing.

Preferred Experience:
  • Experience with PeopleSoft data warehouse.
  • All phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) including Analysis, Physical and Logical design, Resource Planning, Code development, Testing, Implementation and Maintenance.
  • Experience with Florida state government accounting and reporting.

Required Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Follow established plans and processes. Provide recommendations for updates as requested.
  • Maintain an understanding of the values used in Florida PALM data.
  • In consultation with FPA team members, design, develop, implement and test reports and queries to meet the Program's financial information needs.
  • Perform a preliminary impact assessment of any Department of Financial Services Florida PALM Project changes and provide an impact analysis for reporting and financial management as requested. Complete assigned related work.
  • Attend and document meetings related to the Department of Financial Services Florida PALM Project. Schedule and lead meetings and provide agendas, presentations, minutes, issue, and decision papers.
  • Provide reports or opinions as directed by the Resource Management Process Manager, FPA team lead or designee to assist in decision making. Examples of reports/ opinions/ draft responses include providing responses to State and Federal agency inquiry, preparing formal or informal status reports including supporting documentation as needed, preparing materials for interagency, state, and federal audits and other reviews.
  • Assist in requirements documentation and requirements traceability as they relate to the Florida PALM Project and Program Financial Reporting.
  • Assists in the development and critical review of appropriate workflows, forms, and design documents that describe proposed and/or implemented system functionality as they relate to the Child Support Florida PALM Project.
  • Create and modify functional documentation, test system changes, work with external partners to test functionality as they relate to the Florida PALM Project.
  • Assist FPA staff in maintaining databases as they relate to the Florida PALM Project.
  • Perform production analysis as related to the Florida PALM Project
  • Resolve test discrepancies as they relate to the Florida PALM Project.
  • Develop and update documentation for Program financial reporting.
  • Research PeopleSoft documentation to identify fixes, new functionality and to increase reporting functionality as they relate to the Child Support Florida PALM Project.
  • Document test scripts, conduct tests and document test results. Ensure functionality and results meet requirements as they relate to the Florida PALM Project.
  • Transfer of project information to Department staff and other external partners, contractors, state, and Federal representatives as requested including specific skills and unique knowledge required to operate, maintain, upgrade, and enhance financial reporting and knowledge of PeopleSoft Business Warehouse.
  • Update training documents as required as they relate to the Florida PALM Project.
