Job Summary:
Spatial Front, Inc. is seeking a Hands-on ERP Subject Matter Expert to support their growing team. This role involves working closely with various stakeholders to modernize and improve ERP capabilities, particularly focusing on PeopleSoft technology and enterprise business processes.
Responsibilities:
• Serve as the ERP subject matter expert for a team within the modernization agile release train, supporting modernization, sustainment, and enhancement of enterprise ERP capabilities.
• Provide deep functional and techno-functional expertise in PeopleSoft and related ERP business processes, configurations, integrations, and downstream impacts.
• Support ERP system implementations, upgrades, and enhancements including requirements analysis, design, and testing.
• Partner with Product Owners, Business Analysts, architects, developers, testers, and Government stakeholders to define, refine, and validate requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and backlog priorities.
• Support modernization initiatives such as PeopleSoft technology uplift and upgrade support, De-customization and simplification of legacy functionality, Technical debt identification and reduction, Data quality remediation and data validation, Process automation and workflow improvement, Low-code/no-code enablement where appropriate, Integration improvements and interface support, test modernization and business validation.
• Develop and deliver ERP training programs and user documentation.
• Support functional design, configuration analysis, defect triage, root cause analysis, and resolution of complex ERP issues across business process, data, and integration areas.
• Work with technical teams to assess customizations and help identify opportunities for de-customization, rationalization, standardization, and adoption of delivered functionality.
• Support PeopleSoft upgrades, PUM adoption, PeopleTools-related changes, regression validation, and feature/functionality assessments.
• Provide expert guidance on ERP best practices, industry standards, and federal regulatory requirements.
• Support data migration activities including data mapping, validation, and reconciliation.
• Support testing efforts including SIT, UAT, regression testing, business validation, and defect management, ensuring solutions meet business and mission needs.
• Produce ERP-related documentation including functional specifications, configuration guides, and test scripts.
• Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor's in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• 10 years of experience supporting ERP implementations, enhancements, modernization efforts, or major enterprise platform delivery.
• 7+ years of experience serving as an ERP SME, lead functional analyst, techno-functional lead, or similar role on large enterprise systems.
• Direct experience with PeopleSoft, preferably in HCM, or other complex enterprise environments.
• Demonstrated expertise in: business process optimization, data migration, integration, change management.
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments, including support for scrum teams, user stories, acceptance criteria, and iterative delivery.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Must possess an active Secret security clearance or be able to obtain one.
Preferred:
• Relevant certifications such as PeopleSoft HCM/ERP, SAFe, ITIL, or equivalent ERP-related certifications.
• Experience supporting PeopleSoft modernization in a Federal or DoD environment.
• Experience with PeopleSoft HCM, PeopleTools, PUM, upgrade support, delivered functionality analysis, and customization reduction.
• Experience supporting ERP capabilities related to HR, pay, workforce, personnel, or enterprise operations.
• Experience with low-code/no-code tools, workflow automation, AI-assisted process improvement, or governed citizen development in enterprise settings.
• Experience supporting ERP implementations within DoD or federal agency programs.
• Familiarity with SAFe, Agile Release Trains, and scaled Agile delivery models.
• Familiarity with federal financial management and HR regulatory requirements.
• Experience with ERP system integration using APIs, middleware, or ETL tools.
