Ultrasound Technologist - Travel/Contract


Location: Green Bay
Facility Type: Level II Trauma Center | Level III NICU | Level III Maternity | Primary Stroke Center

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Ultrasound Technologist to join a dynamic imaging team. This role involves performing a wide range of general and vascular ultrasound studies in a hospital setting, with some on-call responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform ultrasound exams including:

    • General and abdominal imaging

    • Vascular studies (venous/arterial Dopplers, reflux studies)

    • Small parts imaging

    • Biopsy assistance

  • Perform limited OB/GYN scans (viability only for ER patients)

  • Ensure high-quality imaging and patient safety

  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams

  • Maintain accurate documentation in EMR systems

Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of ultrasound experience (REQUIRED)

  • Traveler Experience: First-time travelers accepted

  • Certifications:

    • ARDMS (Abdomen & Vascular REQUIRED)

    • BLS (Required)

  • Strong experience in general and vascular ultrasound studies

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with:

    • GE Logiq 7 & Logiq 10

    • Siemens systems

    • Octavia

    • Parks Flo-Lab

  • Beds: 167

  • Ultrasound Rooms: 5

  • Patient Ratio: 1:1

  • Patient Population: General, vascular, ER, limited OB

Technology & Equipment

  • EMR: Epic

  • IV Pumps: Alaris

  • Medication Dispensing: Pyxis

Support & Work Environment

  • Lead Ultrasound Technologist

  • Department Supervisor

  • Team-based environment (solo coverage on weekends/on-call)

Orientation

  • 1-3 shifts orientation based on experience

Schedule & Call Requirements

  • Shift: Monday - Friday, 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM

  • Call Requirements:

    • Weekends: 1 full weekend (24/7) per month

    • Weekdays: 1-2 overnight call shifts per week (5:00 PM - 7:00 AM)

    • Response Time: 30 minutes

  • Holidays: May be on-call if needed

  • RTO: Up to 7 days allowed
