Job Description
  • Anchors the EmployNV Business Hub onsite, and supports the Directors of Workforce Development, who are stationed at the Vegas Chamber of Commerce and the Las Vegas Global Economic Alliance and are the Public Workforce System liaisons for the Business and Economic Development Ecosystem of Southern Nevada
  • Acts as the central point of contact for all business customers interested or seeking assistance at the Business Hub
  • Provides a short presentation (5 minutes or less) on the resources available to Employers at the Business Hubs
  • Provides detailed information on the wide range of the Business Hub tools available to businesses via the Public Workforce System, including recruitment, training and financial incentives 
  • Works in collaboration with Stakeholders to coordinate networking and business showcase/signature events at EmployNV Business Hub to create outreach opportunities and greater access for local Businesses to the Public Workforce System
  • Identify potential business development opportunities and referral sources to increase Work Based Learning (WBL) funding opportunities for Business Customers via Public Workforce System Partners
  • Establishes rapport with and maintains ongoing relationships with local business customers that are utilizing the EmployNV Business Hub
  • Disseminates detailed knowledge/data of the local labor market
  • Manages special projects and assignments related to the Business Hub as required
  • Works with an integrated, multi-partner team to communicate strategy, schedule events, and develop universal internal processes for the EmployNV Business Hub
  • Reports out all required data tracking for the EmployNV Business Hubs
  • Completes all required administrative duties including but not limited to, scheduling, and responding to telephone and email inquiries
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • Demonstrated multi – year experience in a Business to Business facing position, including Sales, Product Customer Service, Personnel Staffing or related field.
  • Proven successful track record of building and maintaining business partnerships, experience in the Public Workforce System greatly preferred
  • Familiarity with the communities being served, with knowledge and understanding of local needs and resources preferred.
  • Demonstrated strong customer service skills. Strong presentation skills with public speaking, event organization and hosting for varying group sizes preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Windows and Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). High digital literacy and experience with multiple technology platforms highly preferred.
  • Must be able to work independently most of the time, in a fast paced, professional environment with occasional work after normal business hours and on weekends.
