The sales Representative is a responsible for selling new and used recycling equipment within an assigned territory.  We offer competitive pay along with benefits and much more.  Sargent's Equipment & Repair Service always provides the highest level of service expertise. Our factory trained technicians are exceptionally skilled and knowledgeable. Specializing in the scrap, recycling and demolition industries, we work with customers within the Midwest Region and across the nation.

    Duties and responsibilities include but not limited to:


    • Calling on customers in assigned territory, selling new and used recycling equipment as well as assisting the service department.
    • Identifying and cultivating new sales opportunities.
    • Following up and maintaining existing customer relations. 
    • Developing and maintaining strong knowledge of Recycling Equipment including Balers, Conveyors, and Compactors.
    • Equipment startup and training may be required on machinery at a customer's site.
    • Coordinating delivery and pickup of equipment.
    •  Prepare equipment proposals.
    • Work with vendors on equipment solutions.
    •  Assisting with account receivables collections.
    • Effectively understanding and using manufactures programs and resources to generate new business. 
    • Represent the company at events, seminars and trade shows.
    • Follows all safety rules and regulations while preforming work assignments and adheres to all policies and procedures as specified in company manuals and as directed. 


    Desired Skills and Experience:


    • High school diploma, GED, or Vocational Training/Certification.
    • Minimum 0f 2-4 years sales experience in equipment sales or similar field.
    • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
    • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask is a must.
    •  Computer skills required including all Microsoft Office applications.
    • Personal appearance must be neat and clean. 
    • Equipment knowledge or previous industry experience is a plus. 


    *This position will require you to have a valid Driver's License. Sargent's Equipment will review your Motor Vehicle Report to ensure all requirements are met for you to operate a company vehicle.
