Lead Software Engineer, Oracle EPM

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

The Lead Software Engineer will be responsible for the implementation, development, and support of Oracle EPM module technology solutions within Lennar Corporation. This role requires strong software development expertise, problem-solving abilities, and excellent interpersonal skills to deliver impactful solutions and provide a positive experience for end users.

Your Responsibilities on the Team

  • Manage and Support Oracle Enterprise Performance Management Applications.

  • Develops individual modules and functions as identified through technical design.

  • Develops conversion and implementation plans and ensures successful implementation of EPM system changes, monitoring changes for increased efficiency.

  • Execute unit, performance, acceptance tests to solutions to ensure they meet quality standards.

  • Prepare and present updates and other presentation materials to internal teams, client teams and executive leadership.

  • Administer Oracle EPM Applications Monthly/Quarterly close process.

  • Build and manage data integrations using Data Management / Data Integration tools

  • Designs EPBCS web forms, business rules and financial reports.

  • Advise clients on best practices in planning, budgeting, and forecasting.

  • Understands and translates a client's business, informational and process needs into solid EPM solutions.

  • Ensure data governance and master data consistency using EDMCS

  • Utilize Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Provide assistance and uses troubleshooting for bug fixes, enhancements, and "how-to" assistance in various EPM Modules enhancements.

  • Identify and implement process improvements to support more efficient financial analysis.

  • Works with Solution Architects and Project Owners to define right solution for the problems.

Your Toolbox:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

  • 8+ years of experience with business processes around and implementing the following Oracle EPM Cloud modules: Oracle Planning and Budgeting Cloud Service (PBCS/EPBCS), EDMCS (Enterprise Data Management Cloud Services) , Narrative Reporting and FCCS(Financial Consolidation and Cloud Service).

  • End-to-end lifecycle development and implementation experience including requirements gathering, configuration, design, build, test, and go-live phases.

  • Have experience with any of the other EPM Cloud modules - PCMCS and ARCS.

  • Strong technical background with hands-on experience in application build using PBCS/EPBCS; integrations with data management to build metadata and data loads; security setup; and report writing.

  • Extensive experience in developing the calculation scripts and groovy scripts.

  • Experience creating EPM Automate scripts, building REST API scripts.

  • Ability to leverage best practices from previous architecture and implementation experience and work on constant support and continuous improvement skills in Hyperion application environment.

  • Strong functional knowledge around financial systems, processes, and financial reporting practices

  • Ability to advise users on best practices in planning, budgeting, and forecasting.

  • Ability to prepare and present updates and other presentation materials to internal teams, client teams and executive leadership.

  • Skilled in administration of current state EPBCS environment in support of rolling budget / forecast models.

  • Able to provide end-user training, report writing and application support.

  • High level of competency with reporting, ETL, and SQL queries, preferably in Narrative Reporting, Hyperion Financial Reporting Studio and Hyperion Essbase running on Oracle 9i/10g/11i and SQL Server

  • Experience developing in waterfall, hybrid, or agile environment.

  • Ability to quickly grasp complex technical and business concepts.

  • Knowledge of IBM Showcase Warehouse Builder Sets, FDMEE and DRM Oracle tools.

Physical Requirements: This is primarily a sedentary office position which requires the incumbent to have the ability to operate computer equipment, speak, hear, bend, stoop, reach, lift, and move and carry up to 25 lbs. Finger dexterity is necessary. 10-20% of travel is required.
