JOB DESCRIPTION

Software Engineer II, EPM

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

The Software Engineer II will be responsible for the implementation, development, and support of Oracle EPM module technology solutions.  This role requires strong software development expertise, problem-solving abilities, and excellent interpersonal skills to deliver impactful solutions and provide a positive experience for end users.

  • Manage and Support Oracle Enterprise Performance Management Applications.
  • Develops individual modules and functions as identified through technical design.
  • Develops conversion and implementation plans and ensures successful implementation of EPM system changes, monitoring changes for increased efficiency.
  • Leverage advanced forecasting techniques, machine learning models, AI capabilities, and EPM Agents to improve planning accuracy and drive automation across EPM processes.
  • Administer Oracle EPM Applications Monthly/Quarterly close process.
  • Build and manage data integrations using Data Management / Data Integration/EPM Agent tools.
  • Understands and translates a clientโ€™s business, informational and process needs into solid EPM solutions.
  • Ensure data governance and master data consistency using EDMCS.
  • Provide assistance and uses troubleshooting for bug fixes, enhancements, and โ€œhow-toโ€ assistance in various EPM Modules enhancements.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to support more efficient financial analysis.
  • Works with Solution Architects and Project Owners to define right solution for the problems.

Technical Skills:

  • Around 5 years of experience with business processes around and implementing the following Oracle EPM Cloud modules: Oracle Planning and Budgeting Cloud Service (PBCS/EPBCS), EDMCS (Enterprise Data Management Cloud Services), Narrative Reporting and FCCS (Financial Consolidation and Cloud Service).
  • Have experience with any of the other EPM Cloud modules โ€“ PCMCS and ARCS.
  • Strong experience in building predictive analytic models and cash reports.
  • Strong technical background with hands-on experience in application build using PBCS/EPBCS; integrations with data management to build metadata and data loads; security setup; and report writing.
  • Experience with Oracle Integration Platform Manager (IPM), Machine Learning capabilities within EPM Cloud, and EPM Agents for automating and enhancing Advanced planning, forecasting, and reporting processes.
  • Extensive experience in developing the calculation scripts and groovy scripts.
  • Experience creating EPM Automate scripts, building REST API scripts.
  • Skilled in administration of current state EPBCS environment in support of rolling budget / forecast models.
  • High level of competency with reporting, ETL, and SQL queries, preferably in Narrative Reporting, Hyperion Financial Reporting Studio and Hyperion Essbase running on Oracle 9i/10g/11i and SQL Server.
  • Ability to quickly grasp complex technical and business concepts.
  • Knowledge of IBM Showcase Warehouse Builder Sets, FDMEE and DRM Oracle tools.
