Job Requirements
  • Three (3) years of recent Emergency Department or Emergency Room nursing experience required
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
  • Travel experience required; candidate must have completed at least one contract assignment
  • Recent Epic electronic medical records experience required
  • High-volume, fast-paced emergency care experience preferred
  • Active New Jersey RN license or Compact RN license required
  • Current AHA BLS certification required
  • Current ACLS certification required
  • Current PALS certification required
  • Current NIHSS certification required
  • Pending certifications or certifications expiring within 30 days are not accepted
Responsibilities
  • Provide rapid assessment, triage, and direct patient care in a busy emergency department
  • Monitor patient conditions, administer medications, and carry out physician orders accurately and efficiently
  • Respond to urgent and emergent situations while prioritizing patient safety, quality care, and positive outcomes
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support timely treatment and patient flow
  • Document assessments, interventions, and patient progress thoroughly in Epic EMR
  • Educate patients and families about treatment plans, discharge instructions, and follow-up care
  • Participate in orientation, required training, and unit-based onboarding activities
